The RESIMARMO distribution channel includes a large number of partners. They are located in Italy, France and other European Community countries.
A distribution network is a group of players who sell, transport and deliver products or services from producer to consumer. It is made up of intermediaries and points of sale, but it can also be made up of sales representatives or individuals with different statuses. Members of a distribution network obey a discipline whose nature and degree differ according to the nature of the distribution network in question. At RESIMARMO, there are three main distribution networks:

  • The Distributors
  • The Applicators
  • The Resellers

Distribution channels – Why ?

Distribution channels are ways for companies to sell their products to a large number of customers. They enable consistent messages to be sent to several customers at the same time, reducing costs. Distribution channels also make it easier to deliver products in large quantities. They enable companies to better understand the buying habits of customers in different parts of Europe or the world. Companies can use this information to tailor their marketing messages and products to meet customer needs. Distribution channels also help prevent certain customers from feeling excluded. If one group of customers receives effective products and marketing, but another group doesn’t, this can cause problems. Distribution channels therefore make it possible to reach a large number of customers, reducing the risk of inconsistency within the distribution network.

Distributors are individuals or companies who buy products wholesale from manufacturers and then sell them to retailers or direct to consumers, forming a link in the distribution chain. In general, distributors have several customers and suppliers. Distributors supply goods to retailers by obtaining products from manufacturers and suppliers. They are intermediaries who buy products (or services) from a manufacturer with a view to reselling them to an end customer, whether an individual or a company. There are many different types of distributor:

  • Wholesalers,
  • Buying groups,
  • Specialty stores
  • Convenience stores…
  • Some are approved by the manufacturer. Sometimes, a reseller is involved in the distribution chain between the distributor and the end customer.

They manage both inventory and merchandise within a company. To do this, they need to have excellent product knowledge, and only then can they maintain and check the quality of goods. They also need to network with vendors, customers and suppliers. Distributors are very important from a marketing perspective. Their main job is to anticipate market needs.
They’re always closer to find out what customers want, and they’ll start distributing merchandise accordingly. They will help provide market information.

Distributors are the intermediaries that enable companies to reach their customers. Without distributors, products don’t sell and companies go out of business. That’s how important a distributor is to the RESIMARMO organization. RESIMARMO distributors can have as many suppliers as they like and sell as many products as they like, but when it comes to the products that go to make up marble aggregate flooring, they can only order them from RESI GROUP, the legal depository for RESIMARMO products.

The partners Applicators

The partner applicator

The applicators apply RESIMARMO products and put into practice the recommended installation techniques. Over two hundred and fifty partner companies work with RESIMARMO throughout France. A further 200 are located in Italy. Their staff receive specific training in the installation of our systems. In addition, our supervisory staff schedule regular site visits to prevent any problems. As a result, our installation teams are the only ones authorized to install RESIMARMO systems. They are issued with an applicator’s certificate. They respond promptly to all enquiries. The applicators bring skill and care to the installation work, ensuring a reliable, long-lasting service.

The applicator network is made up of specialized, independent, certified and trained contractors. Each of them ensures the correct installation of RESIMARMO systems, according to precise know-how. We have identified independent professionals who are experts in marble flooring installation. They all meet the required quality criteria. Most of these applicators are self-employed, while others may be part of in-house installation teams. The criteria for RESIMARMO applicator status include the ten-year insurance guarantees required for each of them.

The partner Resellers

The partner reseller

A reseller is a person who sells products directly to customers on behalf of a manufacturer or distributor. In most cases, a reseller is usually a registered or unincorporated business structure that buys and sells goods and services to generate revenue per sales transaction. Becoming a reseller can offer several advantages. Firstly, unlike distributors, resellers can work with several brands marketing products they wish to resell. What’s more, resellers can sell whatever they want, without having any expertise in the subject. This also differentiates them from distributors, who are sometimes required to pass a certification attesting to their expertise. Finally, becoming a reseller can be an opportunity to supplement one’s income or to set up on one’s own.

Resellers’ selling prices are generally close to the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. Some resellers also add value to their products:

  • Reconditioning their products
  • By collaborating with fast transport companies
  • By structuring a realistic pricing plan
  • This often leads to increased sales.
  • He can adjust his profit margins.
  • He sets his own prices.

Guarantees for your peace of mind

Legal warranty of conformity, commercial warranty, warranty against hidden defects, contractual warranty… What are the differences between all these warranties? Which warranties are mandatory? Optional? When do they apply? Let’s find out…

There are two categories of warranty: Legal warranties, which cannot be waived. Commercial warranties, whether free of charge or not, freely granted by the professional, which are contractual in nature. EU legislation specifies that the seller must offer the consumer a warranty of at least two years (legal warranty) to protect against goods that are defective or do not look or work as advertised.

After-sales responsibility

If, during the warranty period, the product sold is defective or does not appear or function as advertised, the seller is liable. In some countries, responsibility may also lie with the manufacturer or importer.

When can the customer claim compensation ?

The seller is legally bound by any public statements made about his products, particularly in advertising or labelling.

If he is a retailer, a customer may claim compensation under the legal guarantee provided by European legislation if the product :

  • Does not correspond to the description given.
  • Has qualities different from those of the model advertised or presented to the customer.
  • Is not suitable for the normal or specific intended use required by the customer and accepted by the seller.
  • Does not possess the quality or performance customary for a product of the same type.
  • Has not been properly installed, either by the seller or by the consumer, due to incomplete instructions.

If the seller has informed the consumer, at the time of sale, that the product presents quality problems, the consumer will not be able to claim compensation for this particular defect.

What can the customer demand ?

The customer has the right to request, free of charge (delivery, labor, material or other) :

  • Product repair.
  • Replacement of the product.
  • Price reduction.
  • Cancellation of the contract and full refund (in some countries, the sales contract cannot be cancelled in the event of a minor defect, such as a scratch on a CD box).

Repair or replacement

In most European countries, there is a « hierarchy of remedies ». This means that the customer must first ask for the product to be repaired, or replaced if repair is not a viable solution (e.g., too costly). The seller must do this within a reasonable timeframe and without major inconvenience to the customer.

Price reduction or full refund

The other option is to grant the customer a price reduction or a full refund, but only if repair or replacement:

  • Is impossible.
  • Would be too costly, given the nature of the product or defect.
  • Would cause too much inconvenience to the customer.
  • Cannot be carried out by the seller within a reasonable period of time.

Additional warranties

The seller may also offer the consumer an additional warranty (commercial warranty). This may be included in the price of the product or granted at an additional cost. It does not replace the legal warranty, which is always for at least 2 years, and the seller must inform the consumer that it does not affect his or her right to the legal warranty.

Where are we ! We are present in Italy, France and Europe. We sell our marble aggregates and resins at regional and national exhibitions, fairs and other events. We sell mainly on the web via e-commerce, e-mail and telephone. The global health crisis has prompted us to work from home. This has proved very practical for our sales and administrative teams.

We have nevertheless retained our premises in Milan (Italy), which is the headquarters of DECOPIERRE Italia for :

  • Sales management for European countries (non-French-speaking),

Our prices are light, but our materials are heavy. That’s why we use professional transporters for all our deliveries. FERCAM, UBV for international transport and GONDRAND for regional transport.

Our e-commerce products can only be admired once they’ve been installed, so we use a lot of photos on our websites. For the most part, these are photos taken by our customers or by our own photographer.

The quality and beauty of RESIMARMO can only be appreciated at the end of each project. This requires a great deal of trust on the part of our customers. 2007 – The DECOPIERRE Italia SRL. company is created on the initiative of Mickaël Bertolaso, a professional in « stone look » decoration. He joined forces with his brother Romuald Bertolaso, an outstanding salesman in the construction sector. Together, they offer a wide range of patterns and colors to create modern wall coverings. 2008 -Market demands prompted the Bertolaso brothers to explore innovative solutions. In particular, this led them to develop a new product, marble granulate flooring. The aim was to meet a growing demand for decorative solutions adapted to horizontal surfaces. Surfaces such as rest and relaxation areas, swimming pool decks, solariums, terraces, parking lots, etc. And above all, in the same tones and colors as the materials used in their RESIPIETRA. wall coverings. Following a logic of constant development, they set up a network of RESIMARMO Distributor partners, coupled with a network of Applicators and Resellers. They brought together the best Italian and French companies in the sector and offered them training. By 2017, over 550 distributors and applicators had taken part in the training course at DECOPIERRE Italia SRL.

Pour le transport de granulat de marbre nous avions besoin de partenaires sérieux. Les transports GONDRAND sont les transports les plus connus dans le monde. C’est aussi le transporteur le plus ancien d’Europe. Qui n’a pas vus passer un jour les célèbres camions jaunes ? La plupart des produits de consommations courantes ont été un jour ou l’autre livrés par un camion GONDRAND.

Our history

1866 – They were created on the initiative of the GONDRAND brothers, who set up the transport company.

1881 – After 15 years in business, the family firm has opened 16 subsidiaries in Europe and offers a wide range of services to its loyal customers.

1890 – At the time, goods were transported by horse and the GONDRAND company owned a stable of 350 horses and their carriages in MILAN, Italy.

2011 – Conclusion of a partnership agreement with RESIMARMO for the transport of marble aggregates.

2019 – Today, GONDRAND transport employs 3,600 people. They are present in all the world’s major ports and airports. GONDRAND is one of the biggest players in international transport. We guarantee excellent transport quality, from pallets of goods to full truckloads.

In view of our own expansion, we have entered into commercial agreements with GONDRAND. They don’t replace FERCAM transport – we can only congratulate ourselves on the service provided by this major international transport company. Rather, they are a complement. For specific types of transport, such as regional, sea or air freight. They also provide us with a courier service (small deliveries).

With these two delivery heavyweights, we can meet any demand and deliver our goods on every continent.

The company adapts its structures to the volume of business handled, measuring activity to provide a precise analysis of situations and guide their actions. GONDRAND transport complies with all regulations, identifies customer needs, manages risks and seizes opportunities by equipping itself with the necessary resources. It is one of those « tax-collectors », otherwise known as forwarding agents, responsible for collecting duties and taxes from commercial players, and passing them on to the authorities. GONDRAND is the professional who guides you through the sometimes complex administrative procedures involved in exporting and importing. GONDRAND transport is authorized to manage « bonded warehouses » for import and export. In this way, your goods are placed under a tax-suspension regime until they reach the final destination of your choice.

Our needs

We have specific delivery requirements for our products. On the one hand, we need a service for small deliveries (even very small ones, like our resins). On the other hand, we need an equally excellent service for larger deliveries (even very heavy ones, like our pallets of marble aggregate). What’s more, in recent years a new need has arisen for containerized transport. Our expansion is under control, but every day we face new challenges. A container for Abidjan in the Ivory Coast, 3 pallets for the Lyon region, a full truckload for Belgium. Our needs are multiple, and the way we handle each order is different. So we needed logistics professionals to keep our customers satisfied. GONDRAND brought us what we couldn’t do on our own.

RESIMARMO is a brand, it’s our brand! In the minds of our customers, it represents a guarantee of quality and peace of mind.  
RESI GROUP is the name of the group comprising RESIMARMO FranceRESIMARMO Italia and DECOPIERRE Italia.

2007

The company DECOPIERRE Italia was created on the initiative of  Mickael Bertolaso, a professional in « stone look » decoration. He joined forces with his brotherRomuald Bertolaso, an outstanding salesman in the construction sector. Together, they offer a wide range of patterns and colours to create modern wall coverings. In Italy, they create DECOPIERRE wall coverings.

2008

The RESIMARMO  brand is registered. The name is protected throughout Europe.

2009

RESIMARMO Italia is founded.

Market demands prompted the Bertolaso brothers to look for innovative solutions. In particular, this led them to develop a new product, RESIMARMO  marble aggregate flooring. The aim was to meet a growing demand for decorative solutions for horizontal surfaces. Surfaces such as rest and relaxation areas, swimming pool decks, solariums, terraces, car parks, etc. And above all in the same tones and colours as the materials used in their DECOPIERRE wall coverings. They offered their RESIMARMO marble aggregates in Italy, France and gradually throughout Europe.

2011- Preparation of RESI GROUP

Founding of RESIMARMO France .

2017

Following a logic of constant development, they set up a network of « RESIMARMO Distributors  » and a network of « RESIMARMO Applicators « . They brought together the best Italian and French companies in the sector and offered them training. By 2017, more than 550 distributors and applicators had taken part in the training course at DECOPIERRE Italia .

2018 – RESI GROUP

The RESI GROUP group was created. It encompasses the three companies.
