  Marble resin A marble resin is a polymeric product (natural, artificial or synthetic) that is a basic material for the manufacture of plastics, textiles, paints (liquid or powder), adhesives, varnishes, polymer foams, etc. It can be thermoplastic or thermosetting. A solid or semi-fluid, vitreous, flammable, water-insoluble, yellow or brown-coloured organic substance, spontaneous or induced exudation of certain plants, particularly conifers and terebinthaceous plants (this substance extracted from pine and fir).   We don’t say “plastics”anymore, we say “resin.” In a reinforced plastic material, marble resin, also known as a matrix, is a very fluid or highly viscous matrix, used as a binder to make contact between the various reinforcing particles, such as fibres, balls or microspheres (small spherical geometry particle with a diameter of the order of one micrometer[between 1 µm and 1 mm]. The micro-spheres are sometimes called “micro-particles” or “microbead” of glass. For example, SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) prepregs include polyester resin, reinforcement (matt, fabric or fibre), fillers and a pre-mixed catalyst (hardener). This ready-moulded mixture for hot compression molding is in sheet form. Since the term “plastic” has a pejorative connotation for some consumers, the word “resin” is often used by manufacturers in place of “plastic” and marble resin follows the same logic. RESIFIX     RESIFIX The RESIFIX resin is a compound binder of polyuréthane, liquid elastomer, aliphatiques, even hardening to the humidity, solvent, calm to cold weather. There is not an ungainly joint, the surface is flexible, non-skid and permits an excellent draining. The different hues of marble used offer the possibility to get multiple effects of color, the geometric motives, the strips or the changes of coloration in a same surface.        REQUIREMENTS OF SUPPORT RESIFIX has a good cohesion and a good resistance to the compression, he lands on soils without dirty humidity or ascents of humidity. The support must be clean and dry, it must be exempt of traces of oil, of grease, of wax, milt of cement, or of all something else that could compromise a good adhesion of the compound. Resins     RESIFIX RESIFIX resins, like many resins, is a single component binder of polyurethane, elastomer liquid, aliphatic, hardening with moisture, solvent, realizable with cold. The compound “well dosed” with natural marble aggregate, produces a paste that allows the realization of coatings for internal and external floors. There is no unsightly joint, the surface is soft, non-slip and allows excellent draining. The different marble tints used offer the possibility of obtaining multiple color effects, geometric patterns, strips or color changes in the same surface.   SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS The substrate must have the following mechanical properties: -Chésion: Minimum 1.5 MPa. -Resistance to compression: 25 MPa minimum. The surface must be free of residual moisture or moisture rise. The substrate must be clean, dry and free from loose and brittle parts, the moisture content must be less than 4%, no trace of oil, grease, wax, release agents and cement mildew, or Any other thing that could compromise good adhesion of the compound. The temperature of the substrate must be between 10ºC and 25ºC. If you suspect residual moisture on the substrate or moisture rise, you should use a specific pretreatment for moist surfaces.
