Professional resins
Professional resins or PRO resins, are resins designed for professionals. They have been carefully developed to provide a solution for virtually any situation. They are polymer products (natural, artificial or synthetic). Resins are used in the manufacture of plastics, paints (liquid or powder), adhesives, textiles, polymer foams and varnishes. There are several types of professional resins : thermoplastics and thermosets.
These resins are called « marble resins » because they are added to marble gravel, more commonly known as « aggregates ». They can be used as a bonding or protective layer, or even for waterproofing. For this purpose, we use epoxy resin as a primer (undercoat). Aliphatic polyurethane resins (which are not UV-sensitive) are used for mixing resins. Other professional resins have their uses, for maintenance, surface protection, waterproofing and hole filling. Each resin has its own characteristics, depending on its intended use.
